Russian and French Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Jean-Marc Ayrault have discussed the situation in Syria and the tasks related to the implementation of the Minsk Package of Measures to resolve the Ukrainian crisis during a telephone conversation, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.

“Jean-Marc Ayrault assured that Paris is committed to cooperation with Moscow in both promoting the bilateral relations and on the key international issues,” the ministry said.  

 

The Russian Foreign Ministry also reported that Sergey Lavrov “drew attention to Vladimir Putin’s interview with the TF1 TV channel, in which the Russian leader reaffirmed the line towards cooperation with France.”

 

“The two ministers also discussed the situation in Syria and the tasks related to the implementation of the Minsk Package of Measures to resolve the intra-Ukrainian crisis,” the ministry said.
