US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will hold a meeting with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov in Moscow to discuss the Ukrainian issue.

 

“Victoria Nuland will meet with Vladislav Surkov. The Ukrainian issue is expected to be in the limelight,” he said.

 

Nuland is arriving in the Russian capital on Tuesday evening.

 

On Monday, the press service of the US Department of State reported that Nuland would travel to Moscow to meet with Russian government officials and discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine with them, as well as the next steps in the implementation of the Minsk agreements with a view to maintaining the “Normandy format” and the work of the Trilateral Contact Group.
