The Contact group’s working group on the security issues will discuss security measures in disengagements areas in Donbass, LPR representative in the Minsk negotiations Vladislav Deinego said.

“There will be no armed men in the disengagements areas. The issue of providing security and maintaining public order there must be further discussed and agreed by the parties,” he explained.

“This problem without doubt will be discussed in Minsk by the members of the working group on the security issues. It is crucial to the disengagement success. If there is no control in the disengagement areas after forces pullback, some forces and hardware may appear in the security zones that must be completely arms-free,” Deinego said.

He added some proposals from OSCE on this matter should be expected.

LPR and DPR representatives at a meeting in Minsk on September, 21 initialed a framework agreement on partial pullback of forces in Donbass, that was also signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia and OSCE. The document provides for three disengagement areas around Zolotoye, Stanitsa Lugaskaya and Petrovskoe (DPR territory). Heads of LPR and DPR Igor Plotnitskiy and Aleksandr Zakharchenko signed the agreement on September 22 and 23, respectively.
