At least eight police officers have been killed by US airstrikes in Afghanistan’s central province of Uruzgan.

This comes only days after US-led airstrikes massacred 80+ Syrian Army soldiers in Deir Ezzor.

Only one policeman was killed in the first airstrike that hit a police checkpoint in the Saki area of Tirin Kot. However a follow up strike killed at least seven others.

US military leaders in Kabul stated that it had struck in the area, but claimed it only shot at forces shooting at them and presenting a threat.

There has been no international condemnation.
