The former Ukrainian President and Kiev’s official representative in the Contact Group for settlement in Donbass, Leonid Kuchma, said he was not the one who was responsible for the commitments undertaken by the Ukrainian side under the Minsk deal on Friday.
It has been reported by TASS.
The politician reiterated that the negotiations in the Belorussian capital in February 2015 were held by the leaders of the Normandy Four group as in the French President Francois Hollande, the German the Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko.
‘They undertook the commitments…I did not even attend the negotiations. The Contact Group was some 10 km away from them and then in the morning they brought (the agreements) and we signed them,’ said Kuchma to the reporters at the Yalta European Strategy conference in Kiev.
