At least 50 ISIS jihadists were killed as the Syrian Armed Forces launched a full-scale offensive against the group in the southeastern countryside of the embattled city of Deir ez-Zor in the country’s east.


Government troops managed to recapture several positions near the Tayyem Valley and the strategic Tall Sannouf Hilltop




Meanwhile, the Syrian Army repelled ISIS attack on the Industrial District inside the provincial capital, leaving scores of jihadists dead and injured.


Clashes are still ongoing today, as the Syrian Army attempts to advance at two axes.
