The humanitarian agency CARE has come under car bomb attack in Kabul, followed by at least two terrorists breaking into its offices, Afghan officials have confirmed.
Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said at least one civilian has been killed and one wounded, Kokcha Press reported.
One suicide attacker has been killed while the second has entered a gunfight with security forces, according to Kabul’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief, as cited by TOLO news.
The CID chief said three people were in the building at the time of the attack, one of whom has been rescued. Two other people are still in the building.
The terrorists entered the NGO building after the vehicle was detonated, Pajwok Afghan News tweeted, citing a source.
