European Union does not need insulation and breach in relations with Russia. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipilä. He noted that in October the European Council will discuss the relations between the EU and Russia.

“We need a dialogue with Russia. Finland adheres to the EU common policy of sanctions which was brought into force against the background of Ukrainian conflict. Unfortunately, there’s still no progress on the implementation of the Minsk agreements. But Russia’s isolation is not in anyone’s interest and therefore we need communication”, he said.
