Four servicemen were killed and seven were injured in an improvised explosive blast in Turkey’s southeastern province of Bitlis, the Hurriyet newspaper reported Aug. 18.
The improvised explosive device was detonated when an armored vehicle with servicemen inside was passing by.
No other details of the incident are reported.
Earlier, three police officers were killed and 140 people were injured as a result of a car bomb attack on a police station in Turkey’s Elazig.
The national defense minister of Turkey has said the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group stands behind the attack.
