Rally against Bulgaria’s membership in NATO and the alliance’s policy towards the Russian Federation is being held in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
Protest “It’s time to get out of NATO now” began at 11:00 a.m. in the metropolitan area of the People’s Assembly.
Participants of the meeting require from the Bulgarian authorities’ policy of the empty chair at the ongoing NATO summit in Warsaw and the immediate withdrawn from the alliance. The protesters believe the NATO policy of expansion to Russia’s borders is provocative and stand against the deployment of Aegis missile systems in Romania, Poland, Turkey and Spain, as well as the strengthening of NATO’s military presence in the Baltic countries, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.
There’s still no data on number of the protesters.
