The cessation of hostilities agreement has been violated five times on Tuesday raising the total number of violations to 668 since the agreement came into effect on 27 February, the Russian coordination center said.
The Russian center, based in Hmeimim airbase, said in a statement that it observed 5
violations, 4 in Damascus Countryside and one in Idleb province, while no violations were observed in other provinces.
The center added that the 5 violations, it observed earlier Tuesday, were committed by the so called Jaish al-Islam with mortar shells against Syrian army positions in Erbin and Harasta areas in Damascus countryside.
The cessation of hostilities agreement does not cover ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other
organizations designated as terrorist by the UN Security Council.
The center quoted locals of Kabbani town in Lattakia as saying that some 100 terrorists of Jabhat Al-Nusra with heavy weapons have arrived the border area between Syria and Turkey.
The number of towns that have joined the agreement has grown to 148, following singing agreements with activities of two towns in Homs province, the statement said.
