Secretary General of the Japanese government Yoshihide Suga has announced the arrival of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to Japan on April 5.
The purpose of the visit are the talks with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. On May 26-27, Japan will host a “Big Seven” summit.
“As host of the summit, we will show the interest in a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine and the implementation of reforms in the country”, – said Suga during a briefing.
Poroshenko trip aligns with the holding of a referendum on Kiev association with Brussels, which will take place on April 6 in the Netherlands. It will be asked to answer the question: “Are you for or against the ratification of the Agreement on the association of the European Union and Ukraine”? The Netherlands is the only EU member state that has not ratified the 394-page agreement on association of Ukraine and the EU.
Recall that recently in Lviv was a “gay scandal”. Ukrainian radicals have impeded the holding of the gay festival. In Europe, a gay and lesbian are treated liberally and their decision is under respect, and Ukrainian reaction casts doubt on the European future of Ukraine.
