Moments ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s elite special operations division – the “Tiger Forces” – launched a major assault on the villages of ‘Ayishah, Tal Hatabat, ‘Ayn Al-Thahab, and ‘Ayn Al-Bayda in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside after they fully secured the village of Najarah in the Deir Hafer Plains.
According to a military source in eastern Aleppo, the Tiger Forces – in close coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions) – seized the ‘Ayishah-Najarah axis yesterday after a week long battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) for the village of Najarah.
This morning, the Tiger Forces and their allies reportedly entered the Al-Bab Plateau for the first time in nearly three years; this monumental event has come as a result of ISIS’ decrepit defenses in eastern Aleppo. East of the Kuweires Military Airport, the Tiger Forces and the Al-Ba’ath Battalions retook the imperative hilltop overlooking the large village of Humaymah Al-Kabeer – firefights are reportedly ongoing at the northern outskirts for the aforementioned village.
