Today Moscow and Tehran have a historic opportunity to unite their efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, the deputy head of the Iranian Supreme Leader’s administration, Mohsen Kumi, stated at a meeting in Moscow with public and religious leaders of Russia.
“For decades, relations between our countries can be characterized as friendly and good-neighborly. So today we have a historic chance to stand together against rampant international terrorism and extremism, not only in the Middle East but throughout the world. It is in the interests of Moscow and Tehran,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
At the same time, Kumi stressed that the authorities and the citizens of Russia and Iran not only have a desire, but also great potential in the fight against external threats and challenges.
