Yesterday, farmers held a rally outside the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Close to several thousand people, farm employees and owners, are protesting against a new tax reform.
According to a QHA anchorman, the activists have installed a stage outside the Parliament building and hung heads of slaughtered cows on the Christmas tree and wooden sticks. This eloquent way serves to explain that the adoption of a new tax reform will kill agriculture and impede its life and development.
The farmers say this year they have reaped a small harvest and reduced the number of cows since the government abolished the privileges for the agricultural sector that operated earlier.
Moreover, according to the protesters, rather than to support farmers, officials constantly send to them inspectors interfering with normal course of work.
The protesters stand for a draft tax law proposed by Nina Yuzhanina, but not the one announced by the Finance Ministry.
