A protest rally was staged in Rudare, Zvecan municipality, northern Kosovo-Metohija, on Wednesday against the temporary suspension of the agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO)
More than 100 people gathered around 1 pm on the road from Pristina to Raska, with their cars leaving just one lane open to traffic.
The heads of interim municipal authorities of Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan and Leposavic – Aleksandar Spiric, Ivan Todosijevic and Ivan Todic – joined the citizens.
Todosijevic told reporters that they gathered spontaneously in protest against the suspension of the agreement on establishing the ZSO, reached by Belgrade and Pristina. “The people in this territory are rightly fearing for their security,” he noted.
Kosovo’s constitutional court has temporarily suspended all legal proceedings related to establishing the ZSO.
