Russian Emergencies Ministry’s convoy with humanitarian aid has set out for Donbass

“At 4am more than 100 trucks have left the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Donskoy rescue center in the Rostov Region and are now heading for the state border,” a ministry spokesman said. The trucks will deliver more than 1,100 tons of humanitarian aid, mostly food, to residents of Donetsk and Lugansk.

The convoy will divide in two parts. After undergoing customs and border control procedures at the Donetsk and Matveyev Kurgan checkpoints, one part of the convoy will head for Lugansk, the other – for Donetsk.

This is the 44th humanitarian convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to Donbass. Since August 2014, more than 52,000 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to Donetsk and Lugansk.
